Member of the Stairway Manufacturers Association. The SMA is a non-profit trade organization that represents the stair industry. In addition it is actively involved in the development of building codes and standards related to the stair industry.

  • Made in house in environmentally controlled conditions using routed stringers with glue blocks and wedges, for a strong, quiet set of stairs
  • Our stairs will meet current New York State building code
  • Our stairs save your contractor/trimmer time and speed up the construction process
  • Average lead time for a standard set of stairs is one (1) week
  • Closed box sets, plank sets, mixed sets, open sets available
  • Bullnosed starting steps are not a problem
  • Wide widths are not a problem
  • We have made stairs out of oak, pine, cedar, redwood, Douglas fir, pressure treated pine, mahogany, cherry, black walnut, ipĂ©, maple, hickory, Brazilian cherry, and bamboo.
  • Exterior porch stairs can be made with either routed stringers, or free standing with a stacked stringer
  • Curved and flared stairs are also available
  • Spiral stairs are available by special order

Stair Railings

  • Interior rail parts stocked in oak and beech
  • Post to post, and oak over the post rail parts available in stock
  • Other species including wrought iron, available by special order
  • Unfinished, suitable for staining or painting
  • Exterior rails available in cedar or pressure treated
  • Required by New York State code for any porch, deck, or platform 30″ or higher, above grade or finished floor
  • Interior:
    o Our stock supplier is L.J. Smith rail parts
    + Stocked in oak and beech
    + Other species available, including wrought iron by special order
    + Available as over the post, or post to post configurations
    + Material is stocked unfinished and ready for staining or painting
